What Will You Do
Day 1: Into the wild
We start by driving north out of Vang Vieng to a small village where we cross the Nam Song River. We then begin our trek walking through extensive rice fields and farms. We soon reach the mountain range and we make some steep ascends. As we hike further into the jungle the terrain gets steeper and steeper. The real challenge of today starts with crossing a gorge at the bottom of the waterfall on a cable bridge before beginning the via ferrata ascent to the top.
Once we reach the top, we can take in the views of the wonderful limestone scenery while we rest and recharge for the next part of the adventure. Our next challenge is a 50 m waterfall thundering down the mountain face we will climb up the side of this waterfall using a via ferrata before abseiling down the face of the waterfall, into the pool below.
We then retire to our jungle lodge where we you can have a showeror simply relax and take in the views. Our guides will prepare a well deserved dinner of traditional Lao food while you enjoy the changing light of twilight. After dinner you can choose to set up your bed for the night on the wooden deck and watch the stars or inside the lodge.
30 mins transfer, 2.5 hours trekking, 1 hour via ferrata, 1-2 hour abseiling
Day 2: Flying through the jungle
The next day starts with a beautiful sunrise breaking over limestone mountains. This is a great opportunity for some incredible photos or just take in the moment that really shows off Laos at its best.
After a hearty breakfast we begin our ziplining adventure! Fly through the canopy and above the jungle from platform to platform. Some of these platforms are almost 50 metres above the ground anchored in the crowns of mighty trees. Abseil down to the ground over the edge of these platforms and before crossing another cable bridge. Continue zip-lining through the forest before walking back through the rice fields until we reach the Nam Song River. Here we’ll jump into kayaks and paddle back to town. Along the way we’ll paddle down some small rapids and get a chance to experience the nature of Vang Vieng from a new perspective. We’ll arrive back in town before sunset a little bit tired and dirty but with great memories and an incredible story to share.
2 hours trekking, 3 hours ziplining and abseiling, 2 hours kayaking, 30 mins transfer
