We depart from Vientiane by following the Road 13 toward North. Our first stop will be made at the archaeological site of Vang Xang which dates from the Mon-Khmer period of the 8 – 11th century. En route, we will stop at Hmong village and you arrive in Vang Vieng in time for lunch at a local restaurant. We are transferred to hotel for check – in.
In the afternoon, we visit the Tham Chang Cave and then take a long tail boat on Nam Song River to Organic Farm that produces mulberry tea, sericulture and wine, which you can taste. We return to Vang Vieng by long tail boat by sunset. The dinner will be served at Ban Sabai Riverside restaurant, setting on the tranquil Nam Song River. We spend the night at Ban Sabai Riverside Bungalows or similar

Note: The boat trip in Nam Song can be done from July to January. From Feb to June, we drive to Organic Farm for a visit.
Day 2: Vang Vieng - Ban Viengsamai - Ban Pak Kha Young - Ban Keun - Vientiane
After breakfast at the hotel, you visit the famous caves around Vang Vieng which include Tham Xang, Tham Hoy, and Tham Louk.
We stop for lunch at Ban Viengsamai.
After lunch, we start our journey back to Vientiane. On the way back to Vientiane on the road No 10, we’ll visit a traditional salt abstraction site at Ban Keun and continue to Dong Ma Khai Market where local people gather to sale wild animals and large selection of insects.
We arrive in Vientiane in the late afternoon.

Note: We can do kayaking from Ban Viengsamai to Organic Farm, but there is an additional charge. There will be no time to stop en route via road No 13 on the journey back to Vientiane.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit Tham Chang (Freezing Cave), the biggest cave in of Vang Vieng with very nice setting of the surrounding. Local people have a strong spiritual belief of the cave. There is time to take a rest in a quiet natural atmosphere outside the cave before returning to Vientiane by the late afternoon.
