Depart Green Discovery Laos, Pakse office on Tuk Tuk-short drive to get on long tail boat down stream to Champassak Province. Wat Phou was initially associated with the city of Shrestapura, which lay on the bank of the Mekong directly east of mount Lingaparvata (now called Phu Kao). On the way, stop to visit Wat Phou Ngoy overhead view of the Mekong. After, float down to see local fishermen life along the Mekong River. Lunch at Champassak. After lunch, we visit UNESCO world’s Heritage site of Wat Phou Champassak.
Over night at Champassak ( Anousa G/H )
After an early breakfast we take the boat or tuk-tuk to the other side of the Mekong River to Ban Moung where we will meet our transport to take us on a 2 hours drive to Ban Hat Xay Khoun. Then take the boat through the famous 4000 Islands, the home land of wild life, such as King Fisher, and others. While stopping at one of many beaches, break for lunch, swimming or fishing. Continue to Don Khone to check in at the Guesthouse and relax enjoy a cold drink; test the fresh coconut milk on the island. Free time on your own excursion by walking or cycling around the islands to visit the old colonial French bridge, Somphamit waterfall, and catch a beautiful sunset before dinner.

After breakfast, take about 20 minutes boat down stream to one of the world’s rarest mammal species, the Irrawaddy Dolphins (Extremely shy). Spend an hour trying to spot and photograph the dolphins. Continue the other 30 minutes by boat to Veunkham , where our transport take us to the widest waterfalls in Southeast Asia at Khone Phapheng. Lunch at the falls before we return to Pakse by private minibus or shared bus 2 hours drive to Pakse or you can continue your destination to Cambodia border.
