Houy Bang Lieng is a small river in The National Protected Area of Dong Hua Sao. 5 hours paddle through forest with great scenery surrounded by waterfall from jungle edge of River will be a great outdoor in a short period of time. We’ll be amazed by natural beauty along the river banks!

Itinerary: Pakse – Ban Lak 11 - Pakse
Departing from Pakse, we drive along the road number 13 toward south and then turn to an off-road leading to Ban Lak 11 ('km 11'). The drive passes through rubber tree plantations for about one hour. Get off the transport, we walk downhill, bringing our raft/kayak through the forest to the river bank. After some instructions, we paddle downstream on a white and clean river sneaking through jungle.

It's a great day of fun with many sets of rapids class 2-3. Amazing small waterfalls coming out from the deep jungle along the edge of the river Houay Bang Lieng can be seen. We have to surpass a big waterfall by carrying the boats. Picnic lunch somewhere on the river bank. After 2 hours paddling through an isolated area of jungle, the vegetation gets more open and local people fishing and gardening can be seen. We drive back to Pakse in the late afternoon.

Approximately: 1 hour walking/ 40 minites transfer/4 and ½ to 5 hours kayaking or rafting depending on water levels
